SmartTHING has worked with Blackbaud products for more than twenty years. That matters, because Raiser’s Edge NXT is not a simple database. CFAP splits, soft credits and GDPR Solicit Codes are where integrations quietly go wrong, and getting them right is a judgement call made by someone who has seen it before. Generic low-code tools can move a record from one system to another. They cannot tell you how a gift should be credited.
There are 80+ App Connectors available, and each one exists because a real not-for-profit organisation asked for it. Nothing was built speculatively to fill out a feature grid. If the integration you need is in the library, it is because someone with your problem needed it first.
Some connectors, SmartMAILCHIMP and SmartDOTDIGITAL among them, offer true two-way sync, so changes made in either system are reflected in the other.
App Connectors and SmartIMPORT are independent capabilities within SmartSYNC, not a bundle.
Plenty of organisations use connectors and never need SmartIMPORT.
Others import from files, SFTP, SharePoint or Google Drive and need no connectors at all. You build and own your import routines; your configurations stay yours.
Whichever capability you use, the destination is the same. Information lands in the Raiser’s Edge NXT record, where your fundraisers already work, rather than in an export that someone has to reconcile by hand.
App Connectors are set up and maintained by our team rather than configured by you. That is deliberate: a mismapped ongoing sync can push weeks of poor data into your database before anyone notices, and we would rather own that risk.
