How it works
SmartPASTE is a small add-on for the Raiser's Edge database view on Windows. Once it is installed, your list goes into the query screen you already use.

In the Raiser's Edge database view, add your criterion and choose the one of operator.

Paste the whole list in one go and carry on building your query. Nothing else changes about how you work.
What you can do
A list of six hundred constituent IDs goes in as quickly as a list of six.
Copy straight from the spreadsheet a colleague sent you, or from the export you just ran.
Every value arrives exactly as it appears in the spreadsheet, so the query returns what you expected.
It sits in the query screen your team uses every day. There is no separate application to open.
SmartPASTE remains available to teams working in the database view, with our support desk behind it.
There is no charge and no time limit. Each user needs a free licence, which we issue by email.
Good to know
For the Raiser's Edge database view
SmartPASTE installs on Windows and works with the database view. It does not run in Raiser's Edge NXT.
There is a newer version for Raiser's Edge NXT

A Windows install
It runs on the machine rather than in a browser, so some organisations will want IT to approve or deploy it.
